Despite the recent resurgence of olive oil as a food, its importance as a skin treatment remains underrated. Recent research has shown that the chemical composition of this affordable oil (compared to conventional skin care oils) is ideal for our skin. Olive oil has a structure that is quite similar that of our skin fat and as a result, it is easily absorbed and blends readily with the skin's hydrolipid mantel - the thin layer of fat and moisture on the surface. The oil penetrates deep into the skin and delivers moisture into the recesses of the cells reducing the unpleasant sensation of irritation, tautness, and dehydration and helping to delay the onset of formation of premature lines and wrinkles.
Using Olive Oil as a base, we added other naturally derived ingredients and intense moisturisers, antioxidants, and new generation anti-ageing factors to produce the Natrasorb range of products.
